Some facts about me.

If you haven’t spent a lot of time with me or only know me online, you might wonder what I’m actually like. Instagram squares and rare Facebook posts hardly let you into a person’s life fully. We don’t need to do a deep dive into my life story- but here are some things you might like to know:

•I’m messy. I stack things. I save scraps of paper and postcards and other intriguing bits of clutter. I have 4 children so over time, that actually adds up to a lot of stuff. I’ve been attempting to pare down in recent years but it’s a long process.

• I’m kind of a type b person with vaguely type a traits. I’m pretty easy going, but my voice can sometimes sound strangely curt or fairly grave. I never could get the “cool kid” jobs when I was younger- you know, like at the local record and tape shops- because while I’m a pretty cool person, I sound like a newscaster. Yep. I’m from the Midwest.

• I’m a Pisces, but more often than not, I don’t always relate to most of the associated characteristics. Oh believe me I’m sensitive, but thanks to my Sagittarius moon, I can make light of many things and laugh my ass off about almost anything. Add a Capricorn rising and I’m able to power through any watery emotions and get my shit together. (Also I swear a lot)

• I’ve been married for 23 years. Sometimes people don’t realize I’m married since there aren’t images of us on my Instagram or Facebook. We have very few photos of the two of us, as I’m the photographer in the family. He’s also 10 years my senior and has very little interest in social media.

• I’ve had many creative jobs over the years. In what seems like another life, I was a professional photographer.
